Printing

File → Send to Zebra Printer sends the generated ZPL to the printer. The dialog offers up to four transports:

On HTTPS pages, the Network (IP) transport may be blocked by the browser as mixed content; the dialog warns when that applies. Browser Print and the desktop app avoid that browser restriction.

On Linux, the first USB print installs a udev rule for the printer and asks for your password.

Manual routes

ZPLab generates plain ZPL text, so anything that can deliver raw bytes to a ZPL-compatible printer also works:

• Copy the ZPL and paste it into vendor utilities or your own tools
• Port 9100: most ZPL-compatible printers accept raw ZPL over TCP: nc <printer-ip> 9100 < label.zpl
• Raw print queue: e.g. CUPS on macOS/Linux with the raw driver: lp -d <queue> -o raw label.zpl

Printer settings

File → Settings… configures label-level media and print quality, plus a setup script for clock, locale, encoding, and printer identity. The setup script is meant to be sent once when first configuring a printer. Its values stay out of saved designs, so sharing a .zpl or .json file does not leak your printer name or locale.
